DISTURBED Feeling 'Indestructible' As Album Arrives

DISTURBED releases its fourth studio album on Tuesday (June 3),titled "Indestructible". Singer David Draiman has described the record as heavier, angrier and more aggressive than previous efforts, citing some of his own personal experiences of the last few years as inspiration. The disc also addresses politics and the occupation of Iraq in songs like "Enough", although Draiman told The Pulse of Radio the band didn't time its release to coincide with the current presidential race. "No, that really didn't have any bearing as to, you know, why we were putting out the record at the time that we did," he said. "Does the fact that it's coming out in a political time affect anything? Not to us, really. I mean, no matter what was going, it's simply when we feel that the music is ready and it's time to put it out, that that's when we put it out."

DISTURBED went to the Middle East to perform for U.S. troops in March, and continues to support them, although Draiman has spoken out against the occupation of Iraq.

Some of the experiences Draiman had in the last two years that generated lyrics on the new CD included a motorcycle accident, a fire that destroyed his garage and the vehicles inside it, plus health and real estate issues.

The first single from "Indestructible", "Inside the Fire", was inspired by the suicide of a girlfriend of Draiman's when he was a teenager.

DISTURBED will co-headline this summer's Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour with SLIPKNOT, beginning on July 9 in Seattle.
